Hypothek - eine Hypothek ist ein beschränktes Recht an einem Grundbesitz (eingetragen im Grundbuch), sich (der Hypothekengläubiger) im Fall der Nichtbezahlung, aus dem Grundstück durch dessen Verwertung zu befriedigen.
Kredit - Ein Kredit ist das Eingehen einer Geldschuld mit zeitlich verzögerter Rückzahlung.
